"She is incredibly loving, and a total companion animal - she needs to be in a home where she can be Asia, the Queen. She used to lay on the very top of a cat house, in front of a window, in the sun every day. Now, she hides under a bed in the dark. "
Asia went from a content, strong, and confident cat, to a cat hiding away in one room, often under the bed from another cat in the house who has her quarantined, literally. She is incredibly loving, and is a total companion animal - she needs to be in a home where she can be a companion. She used to lay on the very top of a at house, in front of a window, in the sun every day.
Asia was first rescued in August 2010, with her 5-day-old kittens, 1 of whom died that day. Her owners had been evicted from their house in Woodgate Farms, Olmsted Falls, OH and rather than find Asia a home, they tossed her outside and moved. The fact that they threw her out knowing full well she wasn't fixed is even more despicable.
When Asia was found, she was in horrible shape. She was so skinny, the top of her back was only a few inches wide. She was noticed by neighbors when she started begging for food and water at various people's front doors and windows.
No one wante to take her and the kittens IN until rescued, so OFCR searched the neighbor hood until she and her kittens were found(under a covered grill).
She just laid there and let us take the kittens one by one, finally adding her to the carrier to join them. Not one hiss was reported! She had no desire to live outside and rough it. Asia is a Queen; she really is.

This is Asia before the stress of being picked on by another cat set in.

Asia is SUPER AFFECTIONATE! She used to roam the whole house but now hides upstairs until a person comes. Otherwise she's too scared to come out.
Polydactyly, or extra digits, is a common trait among cats, particularly it seems, among Celtic cats and cats on part of America's Eastern coast and South West Britain. This distribution may well be linked. Except for Twisty Cats, polydactyly is not a product of bad breeding. It is simply a naturally occurring genetic variation and, as noted later on, polydactyly is found in fossil reptiles - meaning that five digits might be the abnormal form! Only one form of polydactyly is known to be harmful.
