STARR, abused cat finds great home
Some people just shouldn't have pets! Starr's owner allowed her to get so sick she nearly died. He also forced her to live outside more often than not where she was getting beat up by other cats. Starr is an older cat, at least 10-years old. We thought it would be hard to find a home for her due to her breathing issues and age, but we're happy to report her foster mom fell in love with her and didn't want to let her go! Best of Luck to our Sweet Starr!

Both of these cats were cruely abandoned by their owners.

Luvvy had been adopted, however, she's not doing well in her new home. She doesn't get along with the other cat living there. Luvvy is front declawed and very sweet. She needs a home with no other pets or young children. Please visit our adoptions page for information about Luvvy.

Bo Bo Sasha
Simon, orange/buff, white tabby mix, older kitten

Around Christmas time I began getting calls about a limping and scared cat. He, Simon, was going door to door trying to be let in. I don't blame him he was dumped during 16 degree and BELOW weather.

When caught, it was noticed that Simon was not only injured but sick. His paws were bleeding and we realized he was missing several claws. He also had tapeworm. Aside from the physical ailments, Simon also had emotional scars. He was no doubt a DUMBED HOUSE CAT and was confused and terrified after being thrown out to fend for himself. Every day he warms up, but he truly is frightened of people. BUT once you calm him down, and start petting him he calms down and enjoys his petting sessions.

We rescue many cats, and every now and again come those cats that WANT TO BE SAVED AND COME TO YOU! Simon is one of those cats. He even found my volunteers doorstep and she lives several streets away.

Simon was adopted on 01/22/11 by an incredibly loving couple. They're willing to see him through his rough times since they see what we saw, a very sweet and affectionate pet. Blessings to him and his new family!

Baby, male gray and white kitten finds home

This kitten, a 4 month old male kitten has lived a very hard life up until his rescue on December 20, 2010. He saw two of his siblings trapped and became trap shy and he the sibling he was left with was run over by a car and killed right in front of him. The kitten sought shelter under a vacant trailer and was begging for food at a nearby neighbors. He was very trap shy due to seeing his sibs trapped and other adult cats. It took a lot of creative thinking until fnally the neighbor feeding him trapped him and brought him to us.

He tried the whole feral thing for ten minutes, hissing and carrying on upon arrival but that melted away when we started petting him.

The lady pictured below offered to foster him after he was returned for hiding in ceiling! He's very happy there and doesn't hide at all. In fact, he's playing nicely with his new family of cats!

Angel, orange and white tabby This poor kitten, Angel, was living out of a dumpster at Convenient Food Mart in Olmsted Falls, OH. She was pretty sick from eating garbage and drinking from contaminated puddles in the parking lot. She was friendly from the moment trapped and is a very laid back happy kitty- Angel now lives with a big happy family of animals!

Samson and Delilah were adopted by a lovely family who also adopted their mom! Everyone's doing great!

Roxy, kitten, now named Cleo

Roxy is now Cleo and is living a happy life out in Hinkley, OH with a big family. The family also has two cats who have accepted her and play with her and give her baths! Roxy is also a kitten from our mom Bengal cat Asia, see below.

We couldn't be happier that we found such good homes for all of them!

kitten adopted

Schmiggy

Schmiggy is one of Asia's kittens. Asia is the Bengal cat shown below. He's super happy in his new home. He has two human brothers and two cats who have taken on "parental" roles.

His mom was unable to nurse him passed 3.5 weeks so we bottle fed the litter. Schmiggy was last weaned, he loves to be held and doted on!

Schmiggy

Asia
Asia was aprox. 8 months old when rescued. She was thrown outside by her callous owners when they were evicted from their home. They were also irresponsible pet owners because not only did they toss their pet outside to fend for herself, she wasn't spayed and wound up pregnant, with ear mites and severe diarrhea.

Asia recently was adopted! She had her kittens under a grill and they were only a day or 2 old when rescued. Sadly, Asia wasn't in good enough health to nurse the kittens for more than 3 1/2 weeks.

(below, Asia's kitten, the black one is being slept on and out of sight!

Phyllis, 4 month old brown tabby kitten

Phyllis was rescued on September 2nd when she was noticed banging on a glass door of a woman named Amy's home. She was very thin but otherwise healthy.

She was spayed and vaccinated on September 3rd and adopted on September 6th. Phyllis was renamed PRINCESS and awaits a friend when her new owner adopts one of Asia's kittens.

Phyllis
Phyllis is resting comfortably following her spay surgery. She is now living happily ever after... we recently stopped by her new home and are pleased to know she's now well loved and looked after!

Reno Vegas

RENO VEGAS

RESCUED AUGUST 7, 2010
ADOPTED: AUGUST 13, 2010

Reno Vegas was found on Sprague road in Olmsted Falls, OH. One family played with her awhile but when it got dark and they were ready to go inside, they began going in without the kitten. A concerned neighbor saw this and rescued the kitten. She also was riddled with fleas, ticks and worms. She was very thin - and like all of the kittens we recently rescued and found good homes for, she is very grateful not to be suffering alone outside anymore.

She's being taken care of - she loves this kitty bed - this picture was taken on her first night - after a good flea bath and worming medication -

Mia and Persia

These two kittens arrived in bad shape. Both were thrown out by a careless "care giver" along with their mother and the rest of the litter (who were rescued by nearby residents). The kittens were rescued from Twin Oaks Trailer Park in Olmsted Falls, OH.

They had worms, fleas, ticks, and were dehydrated. Both found loving homes and are healing nicely!

Freddy Prince was found abandoned by a maintenance man at an apartment complex in Olmsted Falls. Several families moved out over memorial weekend and one family left Freddy behind. He was desperately trying to get the attention of any person that would take him back inside. Lucky for him he was found. His ear is tipped, which means he was fixed by an organization participating in spaying and neutering feral and stray cats. He was flea free but I treated him anyway since it is the season. I also cleaned him up, and he enjoyed it! He even let me clean his ears! It's obvious he's been physically neglected.

Freddy is such a lover that I had no doubt whoever came to meet him would fall in love and adopt him. I'm so happy he's now in a home with 2 other cats, a dog, 2 children and a loving mother!

Cheeto was rescued when he was only 7 months old. He already had a horrible case of ear mites, a bad fever, and was over all, worn out and haggard. After a ver visit, bath, and TLC, CHEETO was adopted by a wonderful family.

Jewel & Houdini

JEWEL & HOUDINI

These two are brother and sister and were rescued from living out of a dumpster in February 2010. Jewel really wanted to live indoors and because she wanted to, Houdini went along with the idea. He was trapped first and escaped. When we caught Jewel he came back 'ready to be rescued.'

Jewel is a lover and adores be fawned over. Houdini is currently warming up to the idea. Both were adopted by a young lady named Sierra who lives with her brother, who Houdini bonded to immedately.

We wish them all the best!

Lily When Lily was rescued she was immediately taken to the A.P.L. to be fixed. We learned that when a pregnant feral or stray cat is taken in for spay/neuter, the kittens are aborted. Sadly we didn't know she was pregnant prior to her visit there. When we picked her up she was a mess. She wouldn't eat, move, and was very depressed. She also had tapeworms which needed treated and clearly contributed to her misery. She is doing much better and finally coming out of her shell. She is a lady, a princess. She loves to be brushed!

Stray & Feral Cats are GRATEFUL, LOYAL, & LOVING PETS.

Both of these Calicos pictured to the left were adopted. One was adopted along with her brother Cuddles (below), and the other to a multi pet family. They are both adjusting well to their new lives indoors!

Calicos really are sweet cats and they easily socialize and acclimate. We couldn't be happier for them. Life was hard for them living in a snow covered pile of sticks next to a dumpster.

Madre & Cuddles also lived in the hut shown above.

Madre and Cuddles

Madre and Cuddles

These two never meant to live in a pile of sticks and snow next to a dumpster. The first thing they did when we rescued them was climb inside the warm covered kitty bed waiting! They loved all the homey things we offered & seemed and I'm sure were, very grateful to be out of the elements.

They were adopted by a lovely cat loving couple in Lakewood, OH on February 20, 2010! Blessings and Luck to them and their new family! They are now named Jem & Scout!

Pumpkin

Pumpkin

WE adopted Pumpkin. This cat came to us with a several wounds, including a deep puncture wound, and a fractured tooth. He was and still is, pretty afraid of people considering his injuries were the result of abuse. He got so attached to CatRescue6's founder's Kim and Brandi, it was decided we'd keep him because he's come to trust us.

When we first got Pumpkin, we couldn't pet him or anything without being hissed at. Now, he comes to us to be pet and every day makes progress. Since having his tooth removed he loves to play and is finally acting like a playful and happy kitten.

We feel blessed to have him!

Boo Boo Kitty had to go to an experienced animal rescue to be worked with. Unfortunately, some cats you catch (few) just aren't ready to be pets. However, they're not ready to go back to being homeless either.

We go to bat for our rescues and will find ways to improve their quality of living. We know he's sweet, just scared and waiting for the right person to take over care. Considering we're not yet an official rescue, we didn't have the time necessary to work with Boo Boo.

IF you're a true cat person, you understand cats will come around. This cat simply can't live with anyone BUT a cat person. IF you'd like to provide the home this cat needs, contact us and we can put you in touch with the rescue. We consider this cat being placed in a better equipped rescue a success for sure.

diluted tortoise shell

Baby Face was by far one of the most people friendly cats we've ever caught. She never once hissed when in the trap, nor did she ever go on to hiss. She loves everyone; other cats, dogs, kids, adults, and she had no desire to live outside either. She was adopted just in time for Christmas!

Baby Face is a diluted tortoise shell kitten-the vet guessed she was between 7 - 10 months old.

NEW ARRIVAL! November 24, 2009
Long haired exotic/mix black male cat
"LeBron"

I was driving Scorpio to the A.P.L. to be fixed and given his vaccinations when I stopped to look at a map and saw this guy desperately peeking in my car window. I was again amazed to meet such a friendly stray. He came right up to me and I had him in the trap in under 5 minutes. Not one hiss! The APL told me he'd likely be euthanized if I left him there after being neutered. All he did was growl once, and a low growl, and the intake lady said he was wild and very likely unadoptable. I guess he would be unadoptable if added to their pool of cats that they don't have the time to socialize. LeBron was purring and allowing us to pet him right away, and that is because we had the time, or took the time, to make him feel safe. His new owner got him purring in minutes and he went in the carrier for her without a fight. He knew his life was about to change for the better! UPDATE: LeBron's new bed is the lap of his two year old human brother and the couch!

LeBron was adopted on November 27, 2009 by a lovely woman who was very eager to provide him a good home, and the attention necessary to bring him all the way around.

On November 25th Scorpio was adopted by a lovely woman in Lakewood who owns a Yoga Business.

This woman wanted a cat to keep her company during her long hours of work. As well, her clientele enjoys when she has a cat on the premises. Broke my heart to see him go as I got attached due to how sweet he is. He also got attached to me because he reached out to me for help when he was in dire straights.

He'll do great with all the attention a place of business brings- and yoga is peaceful, so even better!

Scorpio is 2 years old, and had no trouble adapting from outside life to IN.

This kitten was rescued the night before Halloween, actually one hour before midnight, which would have made it Halloween! Of all our rescues, this kitten was by far the most frightened and injured. He's missing one ear. However, after a few days in our care, this kitten finally relaxed and began allowing us to pet him.

Click here and see the video we made to help this kitten get adopted!

UPDATE: Eve is not coming around at her new house. However, we don't believe this makes the cat unsuitable for rehomnig. This cat needs a special person who is willing to wait for him to get over his fear, and who has some time to invest into LOVING this kitten..

This cat must be put in its own room for a few weeks so that sociallization can take place. This didn't happen where the kitten was placed, which we believe is contributing to the cat contnuing to hide from his new owner. New pets need TIME to adjust. They need to feel your patience so that they begin to sense you are someone trustworthy.

HORRIBLE UPDATE: On around 11/20/2009 I was notified that the person who adopted this cat lost it. He put her in a century home basement and he says she escaped through a hole. I am devastated. This is our only adoption that didn't work out and frankly, I should have socialized her myself. I'm not an expert at this and am learning as I go. Please pray for Eve. I learned a harsh lesson with this one, she wasn't ready to go and needed an owner with understanding.

This adorable Calico kitten loves her new home and her pink house! She is doing great now, living in harmony with her sister Floovey!

KING SIMBA

King Simba is well adjusted & living with 2 dogs & 2 cats, in my home! He's a major lover!

Isis is very friendly & adores her new home!
Isis
Isis was reunited with some litter mates!
After two weeks of trying, we finnaly caught Isis. When most of her litter was rescued she became sad and would cry outside. The pictures above and to the right are of Isis BEFORE she was caught. I'm happy to report she was adopted and is happy now living indoors with a few of her litter mates and her father, Papi.

PAPI, is an adult Tabby male we placed with great success! He lived in a feral cat colony. Please remember, feral adult cats and kittens can be successfully adopted! He is very passive, LOVES to snuggle, and be daddy to all the cats around him-hence the name, Papi!

Tiko is happy in his new home! He has a small dog for a mate now and they love to play. Tiko is the biggest lover and is bringing lots of joy to his new family!

Watch Tiko's Video!

Nina

This poor baby Siamese kitten (left) was thrown out by his owner who lives close by. Lucky for him, he came to my door seeking food and shelter, as it was just about to storm, and found both. This Siamese kitten was placed with a neigbor's sister and is now spoiled rotten and living the good life!

This is the first cat we rescued from Olmsted Falls!

We named him Big Boy. We loved him so much. He lived outside under a car and we tried for months to catch him again after he was caught and escaped. He was friendlier than most feral cats. He came closer and closer to us and loved when we came out to try and trap him. He knew he'd be following trails of good treats and could pass the time getting us to do whatever he wanted in an effort to catch him. When we finally did we were elated. We were sure he'd make a great pet. He was so interested in us, we even thought maybe long ago, he was someone's pet. Big Boy is the cat that reminds us why we do this. He had Aids and was in very poor health we found out when we took him to the vet. He died before we could find him a home. The only thing that lifts us up about this is knowing after we discovered him, he was fed every day a few times a day. We know he snuck into our garage and slept in one of several available cat beds. He got attention, which he deserved. We just wanted to hold him so bad.

R.I.P. Big Boy, we love and miss you.
